More than 1,000 researchers have filled the Kursaal this week with ideas, debate and knowledge at the largest international congress on bilingualism.

The International Symposium on Bilingualism (ISB), the leading forum in its field, has brought together prominent voices from around the world in Donostia with a shared goal: to keep advancing research, theory and practice in bi- and multilingualism.

Thanks to BCBL — Basque Center on Cognition, Brain and Language — for leading the organization of this edition —the first to be held in the Basque Country— and for leaving a valuable legacy in the city through initiatives like Euskera por el mundo, an open session that brought scientific knowledge closer to the public and made the use of Basque visible both within and beyond our borders.
